Volkswagen Academy Summer Camp

The sixth annual Volkswagen Academy Summer Camp will be July 27 – 31 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. The Camp is free and open to the public.

Open to teens ages 14 – 18, this exciting week is jam-packed with hands-on opportunities for participants to experience robotronics and automation in a real-life setting. Campers will also have the chance to use virtual reality simulators.

Registration is required. Check back periodically and follow Volkswagen Chattanooga on social media for registration information.

 

Throughout the week, campers will rotate through five activities:

Robotics

Campers discover how robots work and how they are used in manufacturing by exploring and operating an actual production robot.

Programming

Campers explore the programming logic and language that steers our manufacturing equipment.

Electric Vehicles

Campers gain a better understanding of electric vehicles and explore electrical basics through hands-on activities.

Explore a Volkswagen

Campers learn how to change a tire, check fluid levels, change spark plugs & fuses, and discover safety features of a VW car.

Manufacturing Processes

Campers discover how an assembly line works through hands-on simulation.
